Over the years, Refined customers have grown from managing a single branded site to running multiple organization-wide digital experiences that serve thousands of users – internally and externally. As sites scale, they bring with them increased complexity. More content must be maintained, more users need to be supported, more sites have to be managed, and a greater demand for performance, insight, and governance is realized. 

Advanced edition is our response to these evolving challenges. It’s designed for teams who rely on Refined to power essential Atlassian-based experiences, usually at enterprises, and who need greater visibility, control, and intelligence to succeed.

At the same time, Advanced edition allows us to carve out a Standard offering designed for smaller teams or organizations running smaller-scale – but no less important – operations.

Do you need to upgrade? Here’s how to decide

Standard edition: still available, still reliable

Standard edition remains a solid, powerful option for teams looking to build branded, user-friendly Atlassian experiences.

With Standard edition, you can:

• Create and publish branded Confluence and JSM sites using a drag-and-drop Page Builder
• Use pre-designed templates to structure content
• Access limited analytics to monitor performance
• Utilize basic (non-AI) search features 
• Get support from our team

If your current needs focus on managing a single site with a strong visual identity, and pre-made templates to deliver a custom, branded user experience – Standard edition will likely continue to serve you well. 

When you’ll need to take action

While Standard edition isn’t going anywhere, some features will be exclusive to Advanced edition going forward. If you're using or planning to use the following features, you'll need to upgrade your licenses to maintain functionality:

• Multiple published or public sites
• Custom domain support for sites
• Advanced site analytics
• AI-powered search

To ensure a smooth transition, we’re committed to providing the support you need. 

However, please note that licenses must be manually upgraded through the Atlassian Marketplace.

Pricing and whether Advanced is right for you
